I have had BLTs that when I take a bite, the lettuce pulls with it or the bacon does.. so the last bite is just mayo and bread.. and yes, that happens to burritos, where the last bite is just tortilla... But wouldn't rather have a delicious tortilla all by itself, soaked in the juices of the burrito compared to soggy mayo bread? However, I also have a collection of TACO and BURRITO items so my opinion is EXTREMELY biased.

Furthermore, I contend that structurally the burrito is the midpoint between both the dumpling and the sandwich.

Bringing up the caloric content of burrito wraps was the most shameful moment tbh. 2022-10-27 17:25:17 +0000 UTCI live in New Mexico which is an absolute haven for burritos so maybe I'm a little biased, but the uniformity of a sandwich, where each bite has every ingredient equally, that Matt brought up as a point, I feel is actually a detractor. The variety that is a bite of a burrito is what makes it so amazing, the fact that you can get a bite that's mostly rice with a little cheese, and then the next one is a real meaty bite with some veggies... And then as you're eating the burrito you can start to tell which ingredients are where... You become one with the burrito, it becomes you and you become it. A sandwich every bite tastes the exact same, so the first 50% is good and consistent, and the last half is like "yeah okay let's just hurry up and get through this last few bites". It becomes so dull towards the end.
