2025-01-08 02:49:49 +0000 UTCI know this was years ago but listening to anthony have regular anxiety about this not being "as good as season 1" makes me so sad because in so many ways its better! Both were good but everyones way deeper in role playing as their characters this time in ways that arent just extensions of themselves (and most first characters are typically "me, but fantasy me and just enough removed where i can start to see a mirror to myself" or it to be the complete opposite of explorations) This season also has a more structured story and the story beats have more pay off as it feels invested. It's like if the PC's are in an episode of story break and watching the world materialize around them, and the foundational story moments feel earned and not rail roaded. They honor the moments of improv and the rolls prior while also having an established world environment that feels like a creative marriage.

I looked nothing like my local High School emo kids, I had like video game shirts of zelda and sonic and such, but i listened to a lot of emo music. Iโm a weird older Gen Z but basically i listened to a lot of Paramore, Mindless Self Indulgence, Oingo Boingo, My Chemical Romance, and basically all the emo kids hated me because i looked nothing like an emo kid make up wise. Like my mom allowed me to wear all black but the moment i asked for like band tees or skeleton stuff or even darker makeup it was a hard no from her so yea lmao
