2024-04-14 04:30:45 +0000 UTCIt's funny that Anthony mentioned that he was sure that the writers of Dragon Ball wanted to know what would happen next because... well, it's true. When the anime was airing, author Akira Toriyama was still writing the manga. The reason the anime had such an insane amount of filler and so much time in each episode dedicated to someone powering up, charging an attack, or the two fighters staring each other down is because Toei was stalling for time because Toriyama was only a few chapters ahead in the manga and they needed to buy him more time to write. It's honestly a pretty big issue with the series. But good news is that now there's a recut of the series called Dragon Ball Z Kai that cuts out most of that crap. No joke, it's 124 episodes shorter than original DBZ and nothing of consequence was lost. Honestly Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach all need a similar recut.

It’s bull and sexist that you got piled on for it when Anthony out here with the goon bag wine version of French (still loved it Anthony). Some of your words were SPOT on Aussie and others more British but honestly, 10/10 please do that voice again!!

Like talking out of character around a table, zoom into like a book or something and then it’s an animated story, cut back out when someone says something out of character again.

I saw the fan art, but I just figured very few people are good at drawing super realistic humans, so of course everything looks a bit more like a cartoon. In my mind it looked more like newer Jumanji movies.

2021-12-15 10:33:50 +0000 UTCAs an Australian, let me weigh in with waaaay too much confidence: - Beth’s Australian accent was definitely in the top quartile of Americans doing Australian accents - Fetch Quest is set in the same alternative universe as Dungeons and Daddies, which borders on the fantasy realm of Faerune. In your universe, that’s what Australians sound like! That’s fine. There’s no such thing as bad accents in TTRPG, just implied nations full of people with the same specific speech defect (sorry, sorry, couldn’t resist, you did an amazing job!)
