A quick note on Discord roles...

I've been noticing there's been a lot of cool stuff happening in our Discord - from messages of support and encouragement, to the sharing of cool creative projects, to hardcore gamer min-maxing of Animal Crossing friend codes to acquire bugs and... fruit I think? Look I just got this game ok lay off me.
When we started this whole thing, having a lively and thriving Discord server was definitely not something we had anticipated, but ya know what sometimes these things just happen. And I think it's a pretty cool community we got.
But we know that it's pretty b u c k w i l d out there, and financial situations are changing. It didn't seem right that people who have to pause their support would also have to lose access to a supportive community full of creative, friendly, hardcore Nintendo fanboiz - especially now.
So for the time being, we're switching up Discord permissions so that if you do have to pause your support, you'll still be able to access the chat channels and talk to folks.
And for those of you not that active, take note of a few new channels:
- #hand-washing-station We're keeping all discussion of COVID-19 here, so that folks who don't necessarily want to participate can easily mute this channel
- #dadffirmations Fatherly affirmations and messages of support
- #animals-crossing For the aforementioned hardcore Nintendo fanboiz to discuss how to break the game and stuff
We're also talking, behind the scenes, about more stuff we can do with the Discord and all of you. Beth, for example, has a bunch of bad movies she wants to inflict on all of us, so stay tuned!

I'm one of many people who are out of a job from the COVID-19 situation, but I live in a country that will support me through the hard times, and so I plan to keep supporting you guys and the other small creators I know for as long as I can. I know not everyone is that fortunate, and that what we need the most during this time- except good hygiene - is a sense of community during our social distancing.
