The Larvitar episodes were pretty fun. Very cool character and design!

Pokemon and Dragon Ball do have a little bit of a parallel in some ways, they both start off in a pretty rural disconnected world (that's a bit more applicable to the games though), and despite being pretty rural they have super advanced tech and retro tech at the same time, I mean, just look at both Team Rocket's mechs and the Pilaf Gangs lol, and of course the humans are both freakishly strong in both. There are some other parallels but we'll see them later, basically... Dragon Ball influenced a lot in Japan.
