the "legendary water pokemon" Misty sees in her dream is kind of funny in retrospect, I highly doubt it was intentional, but its silhouette is very similar to a pretty big Pokemon introduced to the games like... 20 years later, the anime weirdly does do a lot of unintentional foreshadowing for the games. Also like Denickart said, this was the original head writers last episode, I've mentioned it before, but since we're nearing the end of this Game Generation you've started to notice some changes to the anime, pretty much all of them are positive ones.
