BRAN'S GOT SOME MAGIC! - Game of Thrones 3x9-1

Comments

Thanks, m8. It's been so long since I've read them, I must've already jumped ahead to Mereen in my mind when I saw the stealth mission being planned. I wanted to re-read them when Winds of Winter came out, but you know how that's going...😅

Finally Rob can win this whole thing, thanks Frey!

Redemption

Book version: Yunkai just surrenders, because its army is poorly trained and none of the neighboring cities feel it is worth saving. Dany does what you said she does later on.

DevilJynx

Ah, you're right. So why does this happen here again? I'm confused. Did the Wise Masters not surrender, unlike the Mereenese?🤔 That's how I remember it, at least...

Aeco

Except this is Yunkai; not Mereen.

DevilJynx

You're correct. All the same, Jojen, who's been the one teaching Bran about warging was surprised he was able to do that.

Robb is in a pickle and he realizes it now. If he takes Casterly Rock, that would be a massive blow to Tywin's powerbase, but as Catelyn correctly pointed out; if they don't take it quickly enough, Tywin will send his army from King's Landing(which would likely include The Tyrell army) and Robb would find himself trapped and he'd lose the war and be killed. This plan also depends on Walder Frey's men filling the gap left by the Karstarks, who deserted Robb. Won't lie, some of Walder's older daughters only look as unattractive as they do because of how ragged and unkempt they are. Plus they all look incredibly unhappy and sullen, but living with nasty bastard like Walder, I don't blame them. Not sure if you noticed, but Jon smacked his sword on that rock to spook the horses, which made the old man come out and see the wildlings approach, which allowed him to escape. Sadly, it didn't work entirely as planned. I'm not the biggest fan of Darrio, but I won't deny that he is a badass fighter and he did look out for Jorah's 6 when he threw that knife at the guard coming at him from behind.

Edit: Wrong city, possible tiny spoilers, so I want to delete it just in case😅 Don't read replies unless you've seen/read until somewhere next season

Episode 9s in game of thrones are dangerous

I believe the saying is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" but close enough, and pretty accurate for this series in particular. Hodor (the big guy) is simple in the head, he only ever says "Hodor" which is why it's what everyone calls him. Probably the reason Bran was able to warg into him as his mind is similar to animals.
