We’ll visit thematically inspired settings each month, fleshing them out in beautiful renditions of the subject. It’s time for the big city of Belmond this month!

Here’s the third part.

Part of Belmond’s commercial success is thanks to its interconnectivity. Majors cities throughout the land are connected with Belmond through train and track; much of their trading happens on hyperspeed rails, removing the need for daily traveling through dangerous forests and treacherous hills. Although the occasional bandit foolish enough to attempt to ambush a train at full speed still exists, they often derail their devious plans more than Belmond’s once they find that each cart is riddled with elite guards.

There is a special kind of train for the truly rich—which Belmond has plenty of. Each Friday, at dawn, Serenity takes to the tracks. The train, embellished in gold and adorned with flowers, hosts a social gathering only for those on the White List to deepen their pockets further. After all, these train tracks are all about connecting people… and their coin.
