Well put… The writers do an amazing job of bringing us characters to really connect and identify with, while seamlessly giving us an understanding of the world they’re living in.

2024-11-07 10:45:52 +0000 UTCI feel that this works twofold, in that we are shown this story through Hachiken's point of view as an 'outsider' to the farm life, and we empathize with him and his friends since that's what the story is about, but also I would assume that a majority of the people that watched this are also 'outsiders' in a sense since they don't experience the farm life day in day out just like Hachiken, so what seems normal to the characters also seems not so normal to the viewers.
