2024-09-14 23:44:09 +0000 UTCI do love that despite the frustration of Ishigami getting in the way of their date, Shirogane still, went with him to the festival anyway and had a great time doing so because they actually are just genuinely close friends. Ishigami has accidentally taken Shinomiya's place in the date plans on more than one occasion and Shirogane never let it bother him for too long because he still actually enjoys his friend's company in spite of that and has fun anyway.

(Though not in the way you would traditionally think, she's not demanding he improve himself. He improves because he wants to impress her). Also like you said the frustration is part of the charm of this series. I think that's because it's self-aware, rather than treating the drama as serious. I think that's a pitfall that so many Romance Anime fall into. They make frustrating situations for the sake of drama, which lead to the audience being frustrated and then eventually dropping the series.

2024-09-14 18:16:32 +0000 UTCI brought it up before, but are you doing the First kiss that never ends 4 episode season? It's a direct continuation to s3, to let you know. It continues right on from s3's ending. It's not some separate thing. And yeah, we see more of shirogane's insecurity here. I like that they really develop why these characters are shy about confessing because of their lives and not just typical anime timidness.
