To be fair to Rudy, the last time he saw Sylphie they were like 7, they're now 15, it's been eight years and puberty. Plus Sylphie had green hair last time, he can't really see her eyes and face. Plus this is a world without photography, you'd be surprised how easy it is to forget what someone looks like after a number of years in such a world. Plus he's not really expecting to run into Slyphie either. And Fitz-senpai is so much more confident than Sylphie (who was something of a shy crybaby last time they met), it'd be hard to make a connection between the two. As others have said, there's some allusions back to Season One. Linia is the older daughter of Ghislaine's brother, the leader of the Doldia village. Rudy helped save her younger sisters from slavers. Then he, Eris and Rujerd spent the rainy season there. That's where he met Geese, a member of Paul's party who referred to him as boss. Cliff is from the Season One OVA, during which Eris ran into him while going Goblin hunting. He's basically handpicked to be the next Pope of the Church of Milis. He was considered a magical prodigy, until he met Eris (who he got a bit of a crush on) who knocked him down a few pegs. By bragging about how wonderful Rudeus is. Zanoba is the brother of a Prince who Roxy once taught magic to. Said Prince had an unhealthy obsession with Roxy. When Lillia (the Greyrat family's maid) and her daughter/Rudy's stepsister Aisha got teleported. Said Prince captured them in hopes of luring Roxy to him. He ended up capturing Rudy instead, ultimately Rudy was only able to escape. Because Zanoba who has super-strength threatened to break his brother's arm, unless he set Rudy free. Zanoba has an appreciation for statues, and deeply admired a figurine that Rudy made of Roxy. (One that has removable clothes). He wished for Rudy to teach him how to make such figurines.

2024-08-16 17:47:16 +0000 UTCTo be fair to Rudy, last time he saw Sylphie, she has green hair. So wgite hair and shades, plus she's being introduced as a male bodyguard for Ariel. I can understand why he wouldn't jump to conclusions. Plus, it sets up some comedy. Heh. Also, it's been a while since season 1... Clifford is from the ova where he met eris and got a crush on her but she was all about Rudy. And Rudy's "pupil" is the prince that helped rescue Rudy after he was kidnapped. Mushoku tensei doesn't use a lot of flashbacks, which makes it harder if you've been away than other series lol.
