Added 2024-08-04 16:59:55 +0000 UTCHey, Gang, I just wanted to let everyone know that Patreon has allowed us to appoint mods for our channels now, and we have a few.
You all know there's very little issue around here with people being rude or mean, but our mods will give folks a gentle reminder that we prefer not to have that stuff around here, should they see it.
More often, though, as the mods are people who have been with me for every extended periods of time, they will answer any questions or concerns you may post in comments or anywhere, as, even though I try to always stay on top of things here, sometimes I don't get to respond as quickly as I'd like. They'll answer on my behalf for anything they have knowledge of, so you guys aren't waiting around for me to see your post.
Now the weird thing is, it appears that Patreon has instituted this feature, but then doesn't give the mods an official designation on their posts. That's really odd, and I'll be contacting Patreon to ask about that. Suffice to say, though, the mods are, as Roz from Monsters, Inc. would say, "...watching; always watching!" 😁

2024-08-04 19:01:33 +0000 UTClol it's a moderator, typically they have the power from the content creator to filter out the comment sections and get rid of inappropriate and spoiler comments made by people, amongst other things. But it seems patreon has only extended this feature to the community tab and not the comments on the actual content itself which is stupid.

I'm sure Patreon would give these mystery people full mod power over comments under posts and not just in the community section, like, not being able to remove comments under posts would just be stupid right? Patreon has only just implemented mods though, so hopefully they fix that... but that's just speculation, I don't know who these mystery people watching us are.
