[FREE SELECT PATRONS] Item Cards Jul. 2020
Added 2020-07-27 17:11:12 +0000 UTC
Our Item Cards are objects you can find in our world, usually accompanying the series we tackle that month. This might help you visualize the world and its creations better: add items for effects on your players, simply add them to your treasure box for flavor or use them as a quest item.
We held a poll earlier this month in which we asked all of you guys to tell us what sort of Item Cards you would like to see for Blightstone Castle. Thanks for the input, guys! The winning vote was for Drew’s “A puzzle box to protect a phylactery.” We decided to give the story a little spin and make all four Item Cards this month a Legendary Item Card. Each one of these could potentially hide the Dracolich’s Phylactery, however, three of them are dummies.
Without further adieu, this month's exclusive Item Cards for all "The First Scouts", "Undaunted Pioneer" and “Grand Archivist” supporters, here to accompany you and your companions on your epic tales:
$2+ Rewards
[The First Scouts] [First Class Ranger] [Undaunted Pioneer] & [Grand Archivist]
- Soul-Capturing Jar: Made out of pure gold and decorated to resemble a dragon, this expensive jar is said to have been modified with dark magic by a wizard who was in service of the almighty “Dragonslayer King.” Both the king and his foe, the dragon, vanished during their fierce clash. Some speculate that the king’s soul had been captured by the magic jar, and some theorize that in fact the dragon resides within the container. Powerful magic is at work, allowing its wielder to capture a living being’s soul.
- Puzzle Box of Curses: The perfect, indestructible container to hide and protect that which is most precious to you. Whoever failed to solve the puzzle to open the box is said to have witnessed the Puzzle Box of Curses laughing at them in a dark manner that leaves chills, only to die a mysterious death a few nights later.
- Golden Dragonslayer: Once wielded by the mighty “Dragonslayer King,” this powerful two-handed sword is said to have caused the demise of many dragonborn. It is smithed with pure silver and gold, embellished to fit royalty, and instills its wielder with newfound courage and honor, “for thy ascends beyond dragons.”
$5+ Rewards
[Grand Archivist]
- King’s Infernal Helmet: Once created by legendary blacksmith Iron Hand in commission for an almighty king. The royally gold-coated helmet is said to have been smithed to withstand the fierce fires of dragonborn, providing its wearer with fire resistance and first-class defense properties.
