Agreed!

The use of music in that scene was perfect. Goosebumps.

Language fun fact about how the rookie (who's name I can't remember even though this is my second time viewing) is referring to Jinwoo. He call him, "aniki" which roughly translated means older brother. It's often used by Yakuza to refer to superiors within their organization. To get the point across with more brevity, it's changed to boss in the English subtitles. I just think that extra context, shows an interesting dynamic between the two characters.

It’s very cool that we’re watching this and Frieren… I REALLY like both main characters’ demeanors!

So, here is where we start to see Jinwoo come into his own. Yes, in the last episode and this one, we see that his confidence has shot up. Who can blame him? He's been leveling and getting stronger. He's colder, steelier now. Matches his resolve. Now he can take threats apart like a surgeon. I like characters who seem to stay in control of both themselves and the situation. Not only that, I like seeing a transformation from someone who isn't confident to someone who is. Jinwoo's come a long way from the jumpy, fearful kid we saw in the beginning. This also shows a good checkpoint for Jinwoo's power level. He's at least C or B by now, being able to handle at greatest a high C-rank hunter with ease. Maybe you can guess, but there will probably be more enemy hunters that Jinwoo has to deal with. They're usually satisfying fights to watch.

Man even the system was all "Yeah, kill these shits." But the system is slowly molding him into being what it wants him to be. Obviously it won't make him say kill a kid or kill a puppy off the bat(Or maybe in general as it seems to make him do things with a purpose.), it'll make him kill easier targets like the 6 doods, then move to maybe a rival or known frenemy. Have situations be bordering on black and white to eventually becoming grey or even possibly pushing him to doing sinister deeds. Reporter: What happened down there? Jinwoo: Nothing. Nothing Happened.

"I'm using the system and the systems using me", were it ever to tell him to do something messed up, how much choice would he have? Let's hope the system remains in check, and that the consequences of what jinwoo just did won't bite him in the ass before he's ready to deal with them

This, to me, was the turning point of thinking "okay, cool power fantasy" to "wait this is ACTUALLY cool". Having to follow the system's wishes and Jinwoo adopting this coldness makes it so much more interesting than I thought it would be.

Harry Jones

While the leveling is cool Jinwoo’s aware he’s being manipulated by the system. If the system hypothetically told him to kill innocents or his heart would stop then it be a tough choice. Interesting to see how far the system will make him go

White Lightning

Notice that the system is not just giving him generic quests, its giving him specific ones with a goal in mind. It doesn't just want Jinwoo to just change physically.

J Johnson

Good call.

Jinwoo's demeanor reminds me of Kirito when he was handling the bandits/player killers in episode 4 of SAO
