2024-06-15 21:15:47 +0000 UTCOne difference I found is that while the episode does a good job alluding to this parties crooked nature. They mention in the flashback at the end the analogy of a lizard leaving its tail behind however, the Light Novel specifically mentions this analogy as an active name (as far as I remember). What's more it's made even clearer that Jinwoo knows full well their going to betray him well before they entered the boss room. The funny thing is, before this episode I didn't know that both characters that popped up on the cover images for the anime were the same guy. It was a picture of Jinwoo at the start and Jinwoo after this episode. The difference is surprising, leveling up literally made him into a hunk.

They look like the generic adventuring party that many fantasy Anime protagonists sign up with every once in a while. They appear, trustworthy and earnest enough. Of course it's all a ruse, to lure the audience into a false sense of security. When the betrayal comes, the same designs become much more sinister and villainous.

2024-06-14 19:07:04 +0000 UTCIt's sad that the dungeon disappears after Jinwoo defeats that boss, he could have hauled all those mana crystals out himself 😂 but doesn't seem like he has time to mine... or maybe he could, that dagger had paralyze effect, so he can paralyze the boss, mine while it's incapasitated, rinse and repeat... 🤔

2024-06-14 16:29:12 +0000 UTCThis show has really good setup and payoff moments throughout. Our little D rank friend we've seen before. He was being evaluated for an awakening in the first episode. There's of course better examples but that enters spoiler territory. Things like this, though, make second watches far more interesting when you see the setups and how "blink and you'll miss it" they are.
