Well they're high ranking demons, them underestimating their opponent wouldn't be enough to get them killed if said opponent wasn't also very strong. Like a heavyweight champion wouldn't get knocked out just because he underestimated gangly teenager. The estimate not being accurate enough doesn't magically give said teenager enough punching force
