Quite the background drop, Zeref really said "Im about to die so i may as well drop some bombshells on you, don't let that distract you tho". Fortunately our boy Happy was there to keep Natsu's rackless ass from unaliving himself And thus Zeref is no more, only Emperor Spriggan remains. Just to top that all off, i'd like to also point out we've still not seen half the Spriggan 12 nor have we heard a hint about when Acnologia will be joining the fray, to say shit has hit the fan would be an understatement

2024-04-17 17:38:30 +0000 UTCNot sure if you remember, but when Laxus was on his rampage on Fairy Tail, he had Freed lock anyone over 80 years old within the guild hall. Natsu and Gajeel could not get out of the hall. At the time it was perplexing, even Laxus was confused. But now we know why; Natsu and Gajeel are technically 400 years old as are Sting, Rogue, and Wendy. Zeref worked with The Heartfilias and Igneel to formulate a plan to defeat Acnologia; since all three agreed he was a threat to all who live. Happy is such a loyal dood. Yes, Natsu could have likely killed Zeref, but Happy wants to believe there is another way. It does make sense though; If Zeref dies, all of his books are erased and Natsu's life is bound to the book of END. It is quite the conundrum.
