When Zapp tried to talk about the book he was reading on the Greeks, he was trying to sleep with Lemon, fully knowing that he was a dude. The Greeks were renowned for their homosexual relationships in the military. Something about forcing their soldiers to form romantic bonds so they'd fight even harder. Seems like Zapp was trying to revive the tradition.
