We reached the maximum goal! We've done this before, but this time it's through wizard tier pledges alone! I'm continually blown away by this supportive and awesome community. I hope everyone is enjoying LegendKeeper as we march towards 1.0.

So what happens now? Well, I need to start thinking of lyrics for the music video. I should probably make a new goal for good measure; I've got a few ideas but am open to suggestions. There's one really big goal I'm thinking of, but I can't speak too soon on it. ;P

As far as development news, Justin and I are working on 1.0 release designs. We are holding off developing large new features while I try to smash existing bugs and polish up a few things. The next minor patch will introduce user avatars, fix the "image crop affects all usages of the image" bug, and alleviate some common crashes. There's also some changes I made to make room for future performance optimizations. 

I'm also doing the prep-work for removing categories. This is not a big change technologically, but will be a huge change for the UX of the app. We'll be relying on your feedback to guide us through the process. I think the removal of categories will streamline LK a lot; the UI will be less cluttered and you'll be able to organize your projects how you please. I expect future features, like a smarter tagging system and the relation system, to play the role that categories have been playing. Maybe we can even come up with a custom category system at some point.


Also, just wanted to acknowledge that LK is somewhat unintuitive right now. We don't have any onboarding or tutorials for new users, sharing settings are tedious to navigate, email invites don't work great. Just wanted to say we are painfully aware of these issues and are working hard to remedy them in coming updates. Our standards for public beta, the next step, are pretty high and we definitely aren't there yet.
