2023-10-06 17:22:43 +0000 UTCTruly a beautiful show. From season 1 I had always felt so much for Helga. She lost her husband and son so suddenly. All the while her son was going through hell and she never even knew. Seeing them finally reunite felt so good when parents and children often times don't get that reunion in anime. You said it but I'll say it again, Leif is truly the MVP for following through on his promise to find Thorfinn when he disappeared all those years ago. This season was an emotional roller coaster and I enjoyed every bit of it. I know it was a bit slow for some people, but I don't mind a slower pace. In fact, I think slowing things down helped this season quite a bit to highlight how much nuance there was with many of the characters and the different plot threads.
