I agree, but he it was his inherent intelligence and cunning nature (maybe even aversion to established authority) that allowed him to manipulate the whole magic council. I think Ultear merely darkened his heart and led him along.

2023-08-30 19:49:06 +0000 UTCI prefer Midnight over Brain as a villain. And with the color of his eyes and lips, I keep thinking if Freeza were human, he'd look similar to Midnight. And while Jellal did do some horrible things, he wasn't exactly in the driver's seat at the time. If anything Ultear is the main one at fault and by extension her master, Hades.
