2023-08-16 21:31:18 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favourite episodes, it definitely builds up the mystery of what Clow is actually up to, and the visuals and music are beautiful, the sort of dreamlike state is intentional by the way, the manga version is slightly different Sakura didn't go back in time, the Return card is one of the filler cards, because Sakura's magic is so strong she's able to have vision dreams of Clow Reeds final day. Clow Reed is a very gentle and wise person, but he's also a bit of a trickster with a "twisted mind" with his own goals who's willing to manipulate things to achieve them, also I agree lol, I love his gentle voice. I won't spoil what his plan is, though next episode I will have to explain some of it, because part of the explanation from the manga was cut, including part of why it could only be Sakura and no one else, but his talk about "have you ever imagined such loneliness?" when discussing the seasons is actual pretty important to his character and his goals. I'm really looking forward to it, you won't see it coming.
