2023-08-12 19:09:48 +0000 UTCI think the Celestials, the Father, the Sister and the Brother, basically a holy trinity is the shows way of trying to add a bit more mystery and spirituality back to the force, like, from what I understand they are meant to sort of control and give balance to the force. It kind of makes me think of Midichlorians in a weird, midichlorians was a concept Lucas added to the prequels to explain what the force was a bit, but Star Wars fans have a weird seething irrational hatred of the concept for some reason, George Lucas actually wrote out and planned a sequel trilogy that would have delved into and explained Midichlorians, he sold his studio and Star Wars to Disney under the understanding that they'd use his outline and plan for the sequels, but well... Disney lied to him, scrapped his outline and replaced it with... nothing right after acquiring LucasArts, I'm not even kidding, Disney's admitted they had no plan when making the sequel trilogy, and that's why it was a total disaster. not sure if you've noticed, but the characters have started to grow and change physically now through out the series, the series is meant to take place during the second and third film of the prequel trilogy, so you can see the characters grow and look more like their appearances in the 3rd film, it also means original characters like Ahsoka are able to grow and show their development as well.
