COULD I PLEASE GET YOU GUYS' FEEDBACK ON SOMETHING?
Added 2023-07-13 22:30:16 +0000 UTCPatreon has just opted me into their new perks which, among other things, allow us to have free memberships. I'm thinking about it, but I'd like to lay out for you guys what this would entail, and hopefully get your feedback on it:
As you all know, YouTube has become a hell hole for creators; especially me. A free level would allow me to post reaction vids and content that is now currently at YouTube here instead. Nothing would change with our existing levels, as I don't dare move our anime/show reactions out from behind a paywall.
However, I could post a wider variety of reactions here, as I would only need be aware of actual copyright law, not YouTube's insanely stupid blocking system!
I would LOVE to see if we couldn't make The GOOSH the center of our content universe. I would need to find a host for the vids so I can post them here (I don't have access to Patreon's video hosting, as I have us designated as 18+, due to our occasionally racy vids.)
I would likely sign up for a Vimeo account for that, as we should be safe, as it would be regular reactions and fun stuff like that, not full shows/anime.
What do you guys think of all this? It would result in more content here, but for those signed up for notifications, also more of those. I know a majority of you don't sign up anyway, and just check in as you have time to watch. Honestly, that's a convenient way to do it.
So please let me know your thoughts. Good idea? Bad idea? And let me know any concerns that I may have overlooked.

2023-07-14 01:02:26 +0000 UTCI'll very tentatively say I don't see a downside... I think you'd still have to cross-post for a while to let people know you had a free version of your Patreon. As much as we all know it kinda sucks... Youtube is still most people's go-to place.

Most people know what's being watched and how things work here. Only thing is you do lose youtubes platform to gain more viewers even though the algorithm doesn't like you.

If it actually does work out better for you and patreon doesn't end up screwing you over too then I'm all for it. Its got to be better than youtube. Hell even PornHub has better and fairer systems in place than youtube when it comes to dealing with its creators and all that stuff.

2023-07-14 00:23:56 +0000 UTCI don't know if things changed on Vimeo (probably), but I used to upload to Vimeo many years ago (I think 10+ years ago) when i used to make subs for foreign songs and tried to find a YouTube alternative for the ones that would get blocked. Somewhere along the line those videos got deleted 😅
