There are two stories on how he became a cyborg but if I recall the clone wars canonized one of them. Also side note the bombers that are being used are the Y wings, the rebels use them in the original trilogy 🥹

2023-06-13 14:32:28 +0000 UTCThe reason Grievous always sounds like he has a bad cough is because he's actually not a Droid, he's a cyborg. He's an alien that lost almost literally everything but a few vital organs after a spaceship crashed and Dooku then revived him by putting what few organs did survive in this robot like body. He actually is coughing, probably if I had to guess, in a constant state of almost dying.
