i've sent out july postcards early becaues i wanted to remind you all to fill out the form for postcard requests!
FORM: https://forms.gle/NL2JT32Axqcrm6n49 << PLEASE FILL THIS OUT!
the deadline is august 1 and if you don't fill it out by then i won't be able to draw your request.
the thanks page on my website has also been updated early for july: https://npckc.site/#thanks
this month i thought i'd share the pencil sketch of my postcard (above image) - the final postcard looks quite different so i thought it'd be interesting to have them for comparison!
the characters aren't from my games or anything - just two characters i came up with for the postcard.
also, just about this month, i'm still working on updating language menus and creating a default project for renpy to make game dev easier for myself in the future... it's taking a while, but i'm hoping to get properly started on a jam game next month. this month had some unexpected bad news for me so i haven't been able to work on new creative stuff.
below i talk about the bad news, so tune out here if you don't want to read it

my friend raide passed away suddenly this month. you may know him as the artist for ladykiller in a bind among other games, but to me he was somebody who i met at a board game event in shibuya and who loved yuri as much as me. i miss him and i still can't believe he's gone.
he was always kind and supportive - i've never been confident in my art and talking to him about it made my feel better. we bonded over yuri and he would always invite me to events and things if he thought i would be interested. we both had issues with parents who while well-meaning sometimes weren't the most supportive of lgbt+ issues that were important to us, and having somebody to talk to who understood really helped me when i was not in the best of mental spaces.
this month my postcard is dedicated to raide - just a drawing of two girls who are in love.
