Frank Brown discovered that changes in the strength of the earths magnetic field (as little as a .1 guass fluctuation between day and night) influences sleep-wake cycles in living organisms.

In 1975, another interesting experiment was conducted by Professor Richard Blakemore at the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory noticed that certain bacteria always moved to the north side of their culture dish. He observed them under an electron microscope and discovered that each bacterium had a chain of tiny magnets made of the natural magnetic mineral magnetite. These bacteria use the magnets to help them navigate.
Through a series of controversial experiments, Baker has demonstrated that humans possess an innate ability to detect magnetic north as well. This ability can be temporarily obstructed by placing a bar magnet on a person's forehead for just fifteen minutes. Baker further asserts that this disruption in directional sense can last for up to two hours following the application of the magnet. It is suggested that the strong magnetic field may interfere with the normal alignment of magnetite crystals, causing a temporary loss of directional sensing until the crystals return to their usual orientation.
Biological cycles are similarly controlled not only by light cycles during the day and night but also by daily tidal changes in the earths geomagnetic field. It would make sense that cyclic patterns In the earths magnetic field, — even if extremely small —- could have a similar impact on our circadian rhythms.
Becker described the impact of magnetic fields on the pineal gland beautifully in cross-currents:

There you have it. So the question you’re probably asking is ‘how do I hack it’? Because we’ve become particularly disconnected from the earths magnetic field while simultaneously being bombared with electromagnetic fields from electronic devices, we need to find ways to ‘hack’ our environment.
1. Grounding
Grounding, also known as earthing, is the practice of connecting oneself to the natural electrical charge of the Earth. This practice has gained a lot of attention recently in the alt health community. However, for grounding to be effective and safe, it must be done correctly. Missteps in grounding, such as connecting a grounding mat to a wall outlet or grounding in areas with underground wires can negate the benefits.

Many homes are not properly grounded, and even if they are, the quality of the grounding can vary. 1. Black sand beaches are best, and the best place to ground on ANY beach is where the sand meets the water. This is where conductivity will be best. Grounding after a thunderstorm (especially on the beach) is best of the best.
