Dev Update #2 – R8 Progress
Added 2022-06-30 11:26:28 +0000 UTCHey everyone, this will just be a quick update on the R8 progress. I’m happy to report everything is proceeding smoothly, and I’ve been quite pleased with the content I’ve put together so far. So here’s what I’ve been working on.
Atonia Office Content
I’ve put together a fairly standard set of office events you would normally get for a character stage. Though the main reason I mention this is because there’s a bit of a shift away from the office in the coming content.
As you’ll learn here and subsequent update posts, there’s a lot going on outside the office. So I had to keep things fairly light here. Again I really just mention this as there might be an expectation for a lot more after her last stage. It’s a lot lewder this time though, hopefully that helps ;)
Atonia’s Party
Originally I had planned for a sort of extra objective you had to achieve before advancing to the final story event. Though this has evolved quite a bit from the original intent, turning into a sort of hybrid of story and a content set in of itself.
Another party, simpler than Lydia’s but featuring a small variety of options to explore, along with a long form story-like event. It’s another one of those events where you can decide to take a love or lewd approach, giving you a very different flavour. Overall a bit different from your typical story, but hopefully with all the content you would expect from one. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
Story
The coming content stage will have two story events to cap off the love and lewd progression (one each route). Alongside the party stuff it should actually make for a fairly substantial amount. One of these is basically finished, requiring just a few touches, and the other will be following soon after.
Atonia’s Home
Once the story is finished, the next up will be the sandbox content. I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and already mentioned wanting to add some new mechanics for the particular circumstances. But there’s also a more recent thought I wanted to try.
Instead of presenting this stuff in the typical way (move around the rooms, with the girl on a schedule) I was thinking of simply presenting you a bunch of options all at once (from a central hub, of sort), each leading to different events. Normally I would think this sounds pretty boring, but I’ve got a way to make it somewhat dynamic, changing the options available depending on the actions you took previously.
Bit vague I know. But if you’re able to gleam some understanding from my attempt to explain, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it! I’ll of course talk about it more once it’s actually something of a reality. I understand some may prefer I stick to the established norm, in which case feel free to voice your support for that.
Everything Else
Of course I haven’t forgotten about Jen’s sister, but I’ll be tackling that last. Aside from that, the only other thing I wanted to mention is there should be a high tier exclusive poll up soon to decide the bonus content for R8. So if you have access to those, keep an eye out for it!
