Dev Update – R6 Progress #2

Time for little update on how things are progressing. To go along with this post, I’ll be putting some preview screenshots of the party content up on the discord, so be sure to check those out if you are curious.

Party Content

Aside from a bit of polish, UI stuff, and the cheats, this is pretty much finished. Just to give you an idea of how much there is available; it has about half the word count of typical full release. And with these for the most part consisting of quite short events, you might get an idea of the amount.

You’ll most certainly have to go through it multiple times, or make liberal use of the back button and cheat system. This’ll likely just be a means to select which outcomes you have available at the end.

I have to admit this took way longer than I wanted. Which might affect some other things, but this will be content I plan on updating as Lydia progresses further. So hopefully it should be worth the effort.

Party Mechanics

Your choices are going to matter for once, with a bit of randomness thrown in. It’ll likely be a good idea to focus your attention toward the girl you’re most interested in ending the evening with.

This is a bit different from the usual design, hence why I intend to let you cheat around it if you so wish. The randomness I mentioned shouldn’t be a hindrance, more like something that might help you a lot with your goals or not at all. Ultimately if you don’t spread your influence too wide you should end up where you want. Here’s a quick run down of some of the main mechanics:

Drinking: Wouldn’t be a party without it right? How much the girls drink will have some effects on what they get up to, or react to certain things. For now, this is the main stat to focus on. You’ll do this by spending time with them, and of course through the drinking game.

I wanted this to be a double edge kinda deal, unfortunately there simply isn’t enough time to add any negatives for getting too wasted. It doesn’t actually affect the MC at all right now. Something to expand on later I think.

Love/Lewd: As with the rest of the game, you get to decide your approach (for the most part). But It works a bit differently in the party content. A characters L/L gains are tracked, and then at the end of the party you are awarded points (in the regular fashion) all at once. I’m looking to experiment with this a bit, perhaps have the ending act as a multiplier on the final tally or something to really give the choices that extra punch.

NTR/Sharing Content: If you have this turned on, you’ll get some options to push a girl towards fooling around with others. Works very simply, just select enough of these and at the end of the party you’ll get an appropriate ending for that character.

Drinking game: Just a simple card based game. The MC and the main girls will be joined by some generic guests, from there it’s just a typical take turns taking cards kinda deal. Very random, which is something I might have to work on a bit down the line, but it’ll be interesting to see what you think of it. Featuring your typical truth, dares and drinking.

Party End: You’ll be presented a bunch of event options depending on what went down. There are currently four potential characters, Lydia, Krissy and two generic girls. Throwing in the NTR/Sharing endings, you get six potential ways to end the night. Most of them very lewd.

Some of these are exclusive, and will end the night, others lead into another ending or let you continue exploring the options. It’s a bit much to try and outline so I’ll let you just explore when the time comes :)

Lydia Job Content

Aside from the party, I’ve also gotten a good way into the office path for Lydia. As I speculated in previous posts, It’s likely only two of the three (office, club, personal trainer) routes will actually be implemented in R6. So I’m probably going to go with the office and club.

The PT thing I’ll have to re-evaluate for later. For now there will be a small intro with Lydia where you can offer her either of these jobs (if you are the manager at said job) then some events at the job itself. Will likely be pretty basic to start off with, but hopefully I should be able to get them integrated into the job mechanics at least a little.

That about covers it I think for now. I’ll probably be back with another post in a couple weeks. If you read the previous ones, you should know there is still quite a bit to work on. So if I end up being a bit quiet, just know it’s because I’m cracking away trying to get everything finished in time ;)
