Voting for May/June!

Greetings everyone,

Now that shmuplations has been back for a month, I first wanted to say thank you again to everyone who has supported the site--for both new patrons and those longstanding supporters who stuck with the campaign through my absence. It's put major wind in my sails to see people enjoying the work again, and I've taken a number of steps with guest translators and editors to keep things running smoothly in the future.

This month I'm going to try that informal voting process I mentioned awhile back. While my workload is mostly set for April, what you indicate to me here will guide my translation efforts for the next couple months (May and June).

So, how will this work? Well, simply take a look at the list here: http://shmuplations.com/patreonlist/ and leave a comment on this post letting me know what you'd like me to translate. As I am still making my way through the backlog of votes from last year, I should let you know that I will probably continue to prioritize these interviews, but if everyone really wants something different right now, that will also be considered.

You might be curious about how I prioritize the interviews I translate. Basically, it's a balancing act between: 1) what patrons want, 2) what has more "mainstream" appeal to attract new patrons--think Mario, stuff like that, 3) variety of genre--I try not to publish 5 rpg interviews in a row, for instance, and 4) my own interests.

Anyway, feel free to ask questions about the interviews if you're curious about content/length, or have questions in general. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy all the vgm history coming up!

Designing the World of Metal Gear - Developer Interview please!

Sure thing. I'll be adding another post this week to get feedback again (and for new patrons), but I will still be referencing the original post too. :)

My areas of interest are not likely to change much month to month, so consider my votes above carried over to July/August?
