I know you usually don't watch the openings but when the time skip comes up it shows the new looks of the crew and its one of the best of the openings. Would you watch it?. If not it's fine but would be fun to watch the reaction.

I believe he has said that he saves anime movies to watch with his wife or in his free time, and wouldn’t want to watch them in twenty minute sections for Patreon, if someone else that has remembered his reasoning more precisely please correct me, but I don’t believe he will be doing the movies anytime soon

I remember being surprisingly shocked when the "to be continued" sign at the end didn't show up and instead it said, "Go to New World". I was half expecting there to be a seperate series called One Piece: New World.

I just realized that in :| only :| 1.5 years given current speed and if he hit all filler, Curtis would be caught up with one piece and have to wait a week to see a new episode maybe I’ll do a countdown till he is all caught up o.0

Chapter 1 / Episode 4 had Conqueror's Haki, Sky Island had Observation Haki, and the first (obvious) use of Armament Haki was Garp hitting Luffy after Water 7. xD Haki was also mentioned by name before Sky Island, when Blackbeard met Luffy. Guess it depends on how you define "a few" ;)

I love how haki is a part of the world that we've seen even before Luffy learns what it is. It's not just a convenient power up for our main character but something people have been using around and even against him for a few arcs now.

I consider this episode to be the halfway point in One Piece even if it’s not official or accurate due to all the factors of a new journey being set up by all the Straw Hats preparing again for a much harsher journey as well as the ending credits. Time to go to the New World! :D

Yea I second this, usually we’ve had discussions about which One Piece opening was Curtis’ favorite before he started the series. He always stated that Opening 4, Bon Voyage was his favorite out of all of them. So to see him react to Openings 1-14, would be interesting at this point, now that he’s got knowledge of the story and the characters.
