PATRONS: This is the 1st post of 8 in March. It's been great being able to break people's stuff as they send it in which allows us to explore things that might not be obviously interesting but then find a hat full of rabbits to chase. Derrick lived nearby so he just brought his stuff over which added a lot of story and engagement value in that we explored random stuff together with a pile of gear that needed to be retired.
TODAY'S POST
Derrick Weiss brought his 7 year old climbing gear to the lab and we pulled on it randomly. We tested some random things like the Belgian Knot, pulling on climbing slings against the stitching, and even drilled holes in the quickdraws to tease the last video we did where we drilled holes in carabiners. https://youtu.be/xd4T0uwZPgs

WHAT'S COMING
I just spent a few days at Boulder's International Film Festival and learned a lot, met a bunch of people. I stayed for a few extra days to do a small project in a decommissioned missile silo which was really amazing to highline in an underground city. Being that they put something in the water in Boulder, CO that makes everyone want to be a filmmaker, I'm going to make a short film out of this experience as a way to practice for some bigger ones I want to do later.
