Would you want me to rewatch the first one if I watched these sequels so we can enjoy the whole trilogy together, or would it be fine to just watch the sequels?

When Friday came out in 1995, my friends and I saw it at the theatre 4 or 5 times, and it was packed every time. It didn't get old, because of how the rest of the theatre reacted and laughed to various parts of the movie, and made it that much funnier. Even today, its one of those movies that never gets old. Unless someone's 'too high class for low class comedy' or lacks a sense of humor. :P Also, if you haven't yet seen Money Talks (also Chris Tucker), please react to that one :) I think the same people that made Rush Hour made that one.
