I think he is going to Hollywood to recruit Johnny Cage. Hopefully they will write some good lines for whoever is playing him!

I agree....the 2nd act was a bit slow. And I thought they could have made Cole into Johnny Cage and just given him the same backstory they showed - that he was related to Scorpion. It looks like he has become Johnny Cage now though - at least the ending kind of alluded to that, imho. Thank you so much for watching it again with me 🤗❤

I did not like this much, but couldn't wait to watch it again when I saw you were reacting. My complaints are the second act was too slow, and this Cole Young guy is not a Mortal Kombat character. They easily could have made that Johnny Cage. All the good lines were Kano's, and a little Sonya. Cole's lines were really bland, like his character.

What a fun movie, maybe a little slow at times, but origin stories need time to develop what is one of the biggest rosters in video game history. Being a fan of the video game really helped, as I recognized a lot of moves from the game. The experience was enhanced by Kazzy”s reactions, and I was happy to experience this movie for the first time with her.

I didn’t hate it, but yeah, I can see where it must have been made for Mortal Kombat fans. I am not a gamer, did not see the older movie, and have no interest in or connection to the characters separate from this movie, and it felt like a piece was missing because of it.

Wow , already ?? I did see it as well, but will rewatch this afternoon gladly with you ( and again in cinémas Sunday with my best friend ) Will edit this with my reactions to your reactions, later. Edited : I actually loved it a lot more the more I watched it. Bad critics are for those who go in totally blind when this movie was cleary made for fans ( with some liberties ). Fun fact : The actor playing Sub Zero has a contract for 4 Mortal Kombat movies ( this one included or not ) if this one is succesful. Of course movie ain't perfect, editing was weird at some point, but it's a GREAT reboot.
