I donβt get this. Vought has blamed everything on Stillwell. So they feel they don't have to be concerned at all about people thinking they have a lack of diversity - I feel like they believe it's been pushed under the rug at this point. Although, they are trying REALLY hard to promote Maeve's "gayness". She can't even say she's bisexual - she's only allowed to be gay. Maria could still be questioning Vought's lack of diversity though because perhaps she feels it didn't die with Stillwell?

Huh! Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start the Fire" was released as part of Joel's album "Storm Front", on October 17, 1989. (And now Stormfront DOES start a fire in the political sphere in the USA.)
"Its fast-paced lyrics include brief references to 118 significant political, cultural, scientific, and sporting events between 1949, the year of Joel's birth, and 1989, in a mainly chronological order."

Nicely done foreshadowing in conjunction with the news in the background, when MM and Annie are having donuts: The news report several nations calling out the USA and Vought over the Compund V story and are calling America's actions abroad "terrorism". Meanwhile Stormfront is in the news mobilizing her "soldiers" against terrorists from abroad. I'm curious, if this blows up in the future.
Also, the last line of the song heard is "I can't take it anymore" performed by Hughie and Annie, who are very happy and laughing in that moment, even though they actually are at a point in their lives, where they can't take it anymore. - And they enjoy this moment so much, that they don't even think about the fitting reference to their current political climate in the world.
I am really worried about Maeve and Elena. Homelander claims to be ok with their relationship, but at the Believe Expo he clearly showed his allegiance to movements, that are openly anti-gay. His "true" American values.
But I think I found a flaw in logic here, too: Vought is going with the official story, that EVIL Madelyne Stillwell and a couple rogue scientists are solely responsible for the Compound V stuff and the creation of supes, right? Why then is the talk show host Maria Menounos questioning Vought about their lack of diversity? If some evil faction within Vought created supes, as THEY saw fit, and that whole thing is evil, then it's not Vought's fault, that over 90% of the supes are Caucasian. What do you think?

This show is hilarious π. Nothing (and no one) is safe or sacred, from the satirical thoughts of the writers of this show π

Ahahahahahaha!! Black Noir, I can't figure him out. I didn't like that he almost killed Kimiko in an earlier episode. Stormfront - this one is a real evil one. π

Some lines from Stormfront to Homelander to think about:
"Stop trying to win over the whole country." - "You don't need 50 million who love you. You need 5 million FUCKING PISSED." - "You have fans. I have an army."
All this says Stormfront a confirmed racist and racist motivated murderer to the "ideal" image of America: A tall, handsome, blonde, blue-eyed man, clothed in the American flag, who thinks of himself a god and tries to be THE idolized figure of a legion of worshippers. - This show aired in the fall of 2020. What happened in Washington D.C., the capital city of the USA on January 6th, 2021? A STORMing of the United States Capitol. There is a clear warning in here to be VERY wary of the onslaught of inciting messages cloaked in the appearance for the common good.
That orange speedster's name is Shockwave. And according to Wikipedia there's no release date for the 3rd season yet.
Stay strong everyone. 4 more episodes left of a tough but rewarding story.

Black Noir is a weird one. Let's say, has some values, like not killing the kid in the very 1st episode. And almost crying or distressed when watching footage about the revelation compound V made heros. You will learn a little more in a episode or 2. As for Stormfront...Yeah..she's one crazy ***** (Put whatever word you want )

So The Collective is basically Scientology. The whole wife search is meant to parallel the supposed search for a wife for Tom Cruise following his breakup with Nicole Kidman.
This is probably the lynchpin episode for Season 2. So much twists and turns on this one.
