yesterday i did this same repair to my Rev A bondi machine. worked like a charm. thanks for this link. the guy from Technotronic Dimensions seemed happy to hear there's video out there of the flyback in action.

2023-05-26 00:29:21 +0000 UTCTo make your desoldering life easier, I strongly suggest you get this thing: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1597 I feel so silly singing the praises of a solder sucker but it's amazing. I've desoldered crap like IC sockets and a USB-B connector among other things without much fuss. I have a cheapo solder sucker that I never used because it sucked so much (like in the bad way), this new one sucks in the right way Also it goes POP when you hit the button in an entertaining way The main downside is it can expel little bits of solder when you push the plunger back down so you would ideally want to do that over some sort of collection container
