[Early Access] Increasingly Desperate Attempts to run BeOS on PowerPC

Today should be a nice, simple install of BeOS 4.5 for PowerPC from  original install media. We're installing it on a Power Computing Mac  clone, which is exactly the machine that it was built to run on.  What could possibly go wrong?

By the way, I don't use this 9600 much, so if you ever want to borrow it, or buy it for a low sum of money, I'm also in the Philly 'burbs

I saw others say similar things on YouTube, but I got it working with 8.5 as the "base" on a PowerMac 9600. The following items worked despite my skepticism, so you may not have needed to downgrade that PowerWave so much (though it was great to see an alternative to the "all in" approach I normally associate with this channel :) Here's what worked: -400 MHz Newer Tech G3 upgrade -The full 768 MB of RAM I had installed -A Radeon 7000 Mac Edition And here were some differences from your setup that might have helped: -Original Apple internal CD drive -SCSI hard drive, but my favorite version of one--a NOS SCA server drive from 2012 on a (very specific but easily-obtainable) adapter to the internal 50-pin -A newly-burned copy of the 5.0 Professional version (shouldn't matter which version) downloaded from Winworld or somewhere.

Installed it on my beige beast 266 back in the day ๐Ÿ™‚ remember being impressed, but it I lost interest pretty quickly, since there was no software for it. Also ran Mandrake Linux on that beast. That was actually my daily driver for a while.
