My first Daily Doodles of 2023!

Hello everyone,

As you can imagine, keeping up with Daily Doodles this year has been challenging so far, but now that we are settled into our new home, I am keen to get back to it.

I need to build more healthy habits this year, especially with regards to my mental health, so a routine I would like to implement regularly is taking the time first thing every day for a daily doodle, away from my computer and phone.

I have been sitting on our window bench in the living room the past few days, drinking coffee and doodling, and it genuinely felt like it set me up for a much healthier and happier mindset for the rest of my day.

So here's to hopefully keeping up with that habit.

Do you have healthy habits you are looking to implement, or already have that work well for you?

My favourite spread from this batch is Feb 14 and 15, which are the days where I was sitting in the sun in our living room to doodle.

I let ideas come to me and flow, and felt more peaceful than I had in a long time.

Do you have a favourite doodle from this selection?

I am working on a video tour of my 2022 Doodle Diary, which I will upload on Youtube, but which I will give early access to you first, so stay tuned for that!

I hope you are all well,
Speak soon,

M

Of all of those, I really like January 19th and 20th. My absolute favorite has to be February 14th! I'd really love a full version of that! :)

I relate to everything you wrote, haha! I haven't watched TLOU yet but I know I'll love it and I'm already inspired by the imagery. And aren't skulls always exciting? They are such an existential item XD

Thanks Seyca, that was my aim too, I'm glad it translates ^^

I like the 14th. If those are owls, I like the juxtaposition of a figure that has no sight with an animal famous for superb sight.

Love Feb 14/15 spread too! Love some spooky owls and always the theme of people becoming/being engulfed by trees and other plant life particularly. I want to work on some people/fungi ideas myself, been so inspired by some imagery from The Last of Us lately And does anyone ever get bored of skulls? Not liking how much I relate to the first idea though, feels too much like a self-portrait this month! 😅
