Hi peeps,
Here's a very chaotic Doodle Diary batch!

I was trying to revive a dying fountain pen on the left above XD

I think that as sketchy and unfinished as it is, the above spread is my favourite in this batch, mostly because I can picture both ideas more clearly than the other pages.
The pose on the right was very challenging but very interesting to try and jot down so quickly, and I would really like to make more pieces with characters interacting closely with each other.
And I like the idea of the character on the left standing tall in a dark ocean raging against its body, like a lighthouse in the middle of the sea...

I like doing studies from either dancers when I want challenging poses, or theatre actors when I feel like studying expressions and emotions.

As you can see, most of my latest doodles have been pose studies rather than concept explorations. I have had less energy to spend time on these daily sketches lately, so I often opted to study from reference.
And then if the pose felt inspiring I might edit it somewhat, or I have also occasionally taken the idea into my sketchbook to work on it further.
Do you have a favourite from this batch?
I will have a few sketchbook pages to share with you later this week, with some ideas that started in my DDD!
In the meantime, I hope you are well,
Thank you for being here,
All my love, M
