Finished Painting - INNER CRITIC

It took me a few days, as I couldn't settle on how to finish it, but the little painting I did on my livestream the other week is now done!
I opted to paint the vine gold, and also modified the eyes to match that colour scheme.
I like the implication that the character might not be able to complete the action of cutting it off, since it is now made of metal. The eyes also imply that the vine is part of the person, and I wanted there to be a sort of numbness to their expression, almost as if it doesn't actually matter whether they succeed or not.
I did ponder for a while if I might not keep the vine unpainted all together.
There was something I liked about the juxtaposition of finished and unfinished elements. I might explore that in another piece at some point.
I did scan the image before I painted the gold, just in case...
This piece will definitely become a sticker, and either a full print or mini-print, depending on the art I create next.

Yes, I liked that aspect too :)
