Daily Doodle Diary 2022 - #1

Hello peeps, 

I am finally back in London!

I had the most wonderful time while home with my family, it was quite possibly one of my nicest trips home to date, and it was very hard to leave. But it was also time to get back to the real-world...my tax return was screaming for attention. What a drama-queen...

I am buried deep in taxes at the moment, but I wanted to take some time to share my first Daily Doodles of the year with you!

I did ponder whether I wanted to try the exercise again this year, and while I did struggle with it in 2021, I am not sick of it quite yet, so I went looking for a nice little journal for it.
I didn't dare hope to find the same diary as my 2020 one, and I indeed did not, so I settled on a little Moleskine one.
I think it was recommended to me a bunch in the comments of my Youtube video last year (which has now reached 1M views. what.), so I was keeping an eye out for it, and as luck would have it, I managed to find a copy hidden behind some shelves. The last copy! I'm not sure what that is saying for the rest of the year, but I will take it as a good sign. :D

The paper is thinner and smoother than my 2020 diary, but the design is much nicer than my 2021 journal, and I can already tell that I'll have a nicer time working in it. 

I have started off a bit shyly, mostly working in pen and pencil, but I'm sure I'll get more confident as I go.
It has been both difficult and wonderful to get back into the exercise, and I am definitely glad to have it as a daily task right now, while I am knee-deep in admin! 

So without further ado, here are my very first doodles of 2022 :)

I think mine might be 2, simply because it features Chaussette and I am deeply in love with that little cat....

I am doing my best to keep things loose and free for the time being, while I am getting used to daily doodles again. 

Oh and keep an eye out in the next few days! While I will be kept busy with my taxes for another couple days, I will be doing a flip-through video for my 2021 diary just for you!

I don't feel like making a public Youtube video for that one, so it'll be a special patreon-only sketchbook tour. I am aiming to have it done before the end of the month.
