How has every recent year felt like it went by both unbelievably fast and unbearably slowly?
Since we are the 31st, let me wish you a Happy New Year while I have you. I am spending mine with my parents, at home, with some good food and maybe a movie, which is perfect for my little hermit self.
Do you guys have plans? What type of new year’s person are you? (Or did you have plans, if you are somewhere where it is already the 1st once this goes up)
I fought with my homebuddy personality for years thinking I would maybe come to enjoy big parties and socialising…But ya know what, I’m 30 now, and I couldn’t give less of a damn, haha. My type of new years is now being at home with loved ones. :D
And preferably a cat. Bliss.
I’d love to hear how you peeps are spending yours, I love hearing how other people enjoy spending big occasions. :)
In the meantime, I just wanted to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you there is to every single one of you, no matter how long you have been around or how long you wish to stay.
You made my year so so so much more enjoyable and bearable. You are all unbelievably wonderful.
I hope 2022 will bring you everything you need to be happy, fulfilled, safe and loved.
You are treasured by me for sure.

All the fireworks really stress me out and I don't really see the point to celebrate this event ;) So my wife and I are pretending it's just a normal Friday and we'll be heading to bed soon. Hopefully the fireworks won't be to bad... Thank you for doing all you're doing. You are a really awesome person <3

My New Year's Eve is spend with my love, one of my roommates and his boyfriend. We had dinner together, we're playing some games and having nice drinks. I'm not into big parties either, but having some company is nice! I'm only feeling somewhat stressed, because I can't keep an eye out on my cats as they don't live with me. A few years ago one of them went missing on NYE. Luckily she was found alive and well 11 days later, but dear gods, I don't want to go through that amount of stress again.

Coincidentally, I had planned to have a quiet day going through some of your gouache painting exercises, which will likely be interrupted by one or two geriatric cats needing attention :) Have a wonderful New Year and look forward to whatever you share in '22!
