Hello lovely peeps,
How are you all doing?
How were your holidays?
Over here things were very nice, and it has been lovely if a bit of a shock to finally be home after 2 years. Readjusting to living with my parents for a few weeks has been an experience, hahaha.
As is always the case, it took me a while to settle in, and between travelling, Christmas celebrations, and catching up with all the friends that got in touch, I didn’t actually get the time I thought I would have to post as much as I was hoping last week.
Sorry about that!
Working from my parents’ home isn’t as straight forward as working from my office obviously, so that is also always a bit of a challenge in the beginning too.
I am working on the video today, and will do my best to have it ready today or tomorrow.
In the meantime, here is the finished version of the piece I shared with you before I travelled home, Dandelion.
You may notice that I modified the expression of the character in the final version.
I did this digitally, so the physical original has a slightly sadder, more melancholic expression.
I think I do prefer the digitally altered one personally. I wanted the whole image to be fairly whimsical and while not lighthearted, at least floaty and dream-like.
This piece will be the print for January by the way. :)
That’s it for me for this post, but I’ll see you soon for the Process Video!
I hope you are all well, and that you will have a wonderful New Year!
And before I leave you, here are a couple pics of my parents’ cat, Chaussette, being as adorable as ever.
She’s a little old lady now at 14+ years old and we love her to the moon and back.
She sleeps with me and I couldn’t be more in love.…
