Daily Doodle Diary #20

Hi peeps,

How are you all?

It has been a little while since I shared a batch of Daily Doodles!

I have no been doing great with keeping up with them, in all honesty.
Not only was I a little sickly the past couple of weeks because of my iron deficiency, I have also hit a strong bout of burnout, and have been feeling a bit apathetic. Getting myself motivated to pick any task up has been incredibly hard, ESPECIALLY creative ones.

I am slowly feeling better, particularly since I started taking supplements again, and am gradually ticking things off the to-do list, which I am very glad about!

I was hoping to finish 2020 on a completed month of doodles, but things don't always go to plan, and that's ok too.

I still like the few pieces I managed to complete, and I think my favourites from this batch are the 7-8 spread.

Do you have favourites from this batch?

Because I lacked energy a lot throughout the last few weeks, I didn't try to come up with new ideas for each page, and instead, I focused on images from reference, usually landscapes that made me feel peaceful and calm.

I started by drawing with my felt pens, and ultimately tried using coloured pencils, and I really developed a taste for the effects that can be achieved with them when drawing landscapes.

Exploring something a little different to my usual process felt refreshing and energising, and made me enjoy the doodle routine more than if I had tried pushing my brain to come up with new concepts.

I hope you enjoyed this little series, and that you are all well!

All my love,
M

Love the first two x

Number 9 is especially lovely!

I like November the 15th and December the 6th the most

I love Nov 15 and 16, and Dec 10th (so cuute!)

I'm loving all those landscapes! It's nice to see something completely different from what we usually see from you. They're all looking great and make me excited to start my own 'daily doodle diary adventure' in 2021. Hopefully you'll feel better soon! Take care and stay kind to yoursel <3

Love all of these sketches and can see why the landscapes were calming. Very beautiful and peaceful! 2, 7, 9, and 10 are probably my favorites. I'm a druid at heart though so flora and fauna are divine always. 9 makes me nostalgic for homelife on the farm (grew up surrounded by wheat fields and pasture). Desperately miss those harvest sunsets.
