Hi everyone,
Here is batch #16 of my Daily Doodle Diary!
Still haven't missed a day in September, whoop!
I have been riffling through this Diary a lot the past few days, looking back on all my sketches so far, and I loved seeing the evolution between the beginning of the year and now. I went from suing a lot of pencil and black and grays, to the colourful mess you see here.
I used to be so shy with colour, but these doodles have really helped me come out of my shell a little, which is thoroughly enjoyable to look back on.

I have been practicing drawing more unusual, contorted and dynamic poses lately (from reference), as it helps me perfect my understanding of anatomy.

The image on the right above (15), was drawn from a sculpture by Alicia N. Ponzio.

17 (right above) was one of my rare attempts at drawing a dramatically forshortened pose. They are tough! I need to practice them more!

The image above right (25) was a value study from another pencil value study by Stanislav Zaichenko.

I have been loving doing value studies with these cheap colored brush pens, as they layer nicely with themselves and allow me to create reasonably complex value ranges with only one or two colours.
My favourite spread from this batch is 24-25!
Do you have a favourite?
I hope you are all well lovely people,
Take care, and speak soon! <3
