Coaster Paintings WIP Sketches

Hi peeps,

Merry Monday! How are you all?

Over here, things are quite intense, as I have started working on the Strathmore course videos, which will be my main job all week, and probably next week too.
BUT! I also have to fit in a couple of small coaster paintings for a show I was invited to participate in in August, in Portland, Oregon.

The show is organised by Out of Step Books, and they were kind enough to invite me to participate, and I received the coasters for the show a few days ago.
I have been working on my designs, and practicing painting the concepts (paintings above), and I thought I would share my stumblings with you!

I am pretty happy about the last design for the mouth, and I will probably be going for that, and make the spider either black or red.

The eye is a little bit trickier. I think I prefer the rougher crystal look, but I'm definitely still exploring the idea.
