"Kindling" Work In Progress

Hi peeps!
So, I'm really happy, because I managed to create 99% of your rewards for this month in the two weeks I had before I went on holiday. I really didn't think I would manage that!
However, the one thing I did not manage to finish, was the painting for the monthly print. I am about 80% done with it, but wasn't able to finish it before I left, I'm sorry!
Here's the piece so far however, along with the preliminary sketch.
I am not sure about it yet, I like it, but I think I could make it even better, so this might even just be a test painting before a bigger, more complicated one. We'll see. :)
I have title it Kindling, and I will finish it when I come back. I am planning on painting the snake in a similar way as the burnt logs, so that it blends into them, and is one of those details that you only notice if you look close enough. But we'll see how I feel when I get back!
I'm sorry you'll be seeing less art from me this month, I'll do my best to make it up to you in July and August! I'll share with you any art I will manage to make while I'm away, but they will be less original pieces this month, I hope that's ok!
