Hi lovely peeps,

I have finally finished the Q&A!
It took me a little while to film and edit, and I'm so sorry I didn't upload it last month as I had intended!
The audio is a little weird at time, I hope it won't be too distracting!
I also realised as I was editing that I might've missed out answering some parts of some questions (such as the second part of your question Anastasia, about what I have in the works! I am planning a post summarizing all the pieces I want to paint soon, so keep your eyes peeled <3). If I didn't fully answer your question, do tell me in the comments, and I'll do my best to reply!
I am also very sorry if I am butchering any of your names, I am absolutely terrible at names, I deeply apologise! T_T

But anyway, I hope you guys will enjoy the video, thank you so much for all your amazing questions, it was so much fun answering them, I felt like I was talking directly to you all. :)

I didn't overlay the footage of the hand painting, as I had initially intended, as I thought it was nicer to talk to you "face-to-face", so I'll have the video of the hand painting up tomorrow.
There will be a real-time version, since a lot of you seemed keen on that, but I also did a timelapse video that will also go up tomorrow, in case you just want to see the process sped-up.
The real-time video has a bit of voiceover, although not all the way through because...the video is long...haha, but I did talk a little when it got to key points in the painting process, to explain what I was doing.
I hope you'll enjoy them!
OH! And I also decided to title the painting "Aevum", as it is a latin word that refers to time and eternity. Thanks for all your suggestions, they inspired me to look up alternative words for time!

I hope you are all well,
See you tomorrow,
M

Hi Mimi, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and found it interesting. :) I get what you mean about art without the artist, I do love hearing more about the person behind the art I love, it's just difficult to apply it to myself sometimes, as we rarely find ourselves as interesting as the people we look up to, so it's difficult to imagine anyone else might, haha. I'm so sorry to hear about your anxiety and health issues, I hope things are looking up! I can relate however, and mental health is often a common factor between artists. There is a innate desire to express things in us that don't seem to be adequately put into words, and so we turn to an art form. Mental health is a fluctuating state, and so is art, and pretty much everything else in life, so embracing what it makes of us at any given time is key to understanding ourselves and our process. It's always interesting to look back on our work and remember what state we were in then! I'm so so happy to hear that you are enjoying being a patron, I often worry that I am giving you all content that is interesting or helpful enough, so thank you for the reassuring words! Take care lovely!

Exactly! Change is unavoidable in life and in ourselves, so embracing it and trying to make it good, healthy change, is important, and if we are creatively inclined, our creativity will change with us, and as long as it stays true to us, it will be fulfilling. I'll work on a post of things I like, for sure! <3

Hi Virginia, thank you so much for watching it all, and I'm so glad to hear you liked it and found it interesting. I'm so sorry to hear things are rough right now, I hope they ease up soon, and that you are surrounded by love and support!

Hi Myriam. I watched the Q&A while painting this afternoon. I loved hearing more about you. I want to watch it again to be able to take notes (especially on your influencers whom I had never heard of before). I think you’re so right about social media: be aware of its effects and follow a bunch of different people with different approaches/input etc... one thing I would like to say: art without the artist is often ‘flat’. The person behind or within the art work is the heart of the piece... that is why I want to hear from you and I want to know a bit about your story and about you as a person. It’s not only about the art, for me it’s also about the artist who creates it. About mental health and art: thank you for sharing this Myriam. I think Art of any kind of creativity is linked to our mental state, which obviously influences our art/creativity. Lots of famous painters made ‘other art than usual ‘ when depressed or when being under influence of drugs. It’s very interesting afterwards to look the art work. Personally when I look at my color scheme in my sketchbook i can often tell in which state of mind i was painting 😉. Since a year I’ve had anxiety periods due to health issues and being creative has helped me a great deal. Thanks again Myriam. I enjoy being a patron so much. Your content is enriching and you have inspired me. Have a lovely evening 💙🌷

You're spot on about still being creative when you mental health improves. The desire to make and communicate is a part of You, and with most people remains. I'm more creative the healthier i am 😅 You mentioned a post of the things you like? I'd love that if you get time. Take care x

Hi Myriam, finally finished watching this, been waiting for this and started watching few mins since you posted it, but I have lots of work to do & wanted to see and hear the entirety of it before I go to work. Love it, thank you for taking time answering all these great questions. You are very much appreciated I’m sure by everyone following you as much as you express your appreciation to all of us. There were some few points that hit me as I’m going through some tough stuff at the moment and that motivate me to keep going. I’ll have to watch it again when I’m less busy to take notes of stuff I wanted to know about you. Take care💕💕💕
