Object Still-Life Studies (Patron Preview)

Hi all,

Here's a little compilation post of all the object studies I did while I was back home. My step-mother owns a plethora of inspiring vintage objects, and I just wish I'd actually painted more!

They were all painted in gouache, on 250gsm (115 lb) Clairefontaine Paint On Naturel Paper, in A5 (5.8x8.3in or 14.8x21cm).

I really love this little paper pad, I did not regret splurging on it for very long! It takes gouache beautifully, and the highlights really pop, as is always pleasant with tan paper.

I have a real-time video of number 6 in the works for you all, I need to record the voice-over, which I'm always a bit apprehensive about when a video is more than a half-hour long, haha.

The lanterns will also be the subject of this week's Youtube video, and the jugs were two weeks ago, as some of you may know.

Now. I am getting ready to upload all of them to my shop, but as I mentioned before, I want to give you guys an opportunity to reserve or buy any of them before they go live to the general public. My studies tend to sell faster than other things on my shop generally, and it is only natural that you guys get a preview and opportunity to snag one first should you want to.

However, it is important for me to say that I in NO WAY expect any of you to buy any of those, or anything at all for that matter! This is not me trying to sell you anything, I simply want to give my patrons the courtesy of an early preview and/or pick of pieces before they go live, since you all are the reason I can do those in the first place, by supporting me in the way you do. I will not be upset at all if no one wants any of them, hahaha.

If, however, any of you are interested, here are the specs :

➽ Medium : Gouache
➽ Paper :  250gsm (115 lb) Clairefontaine Paint On Naturel Paper
➽ Dimensions : A5 (5.8x8.3in or 14.8x21cm)
They are all signed and annoted with "from life" on the front, in the bottom right corner (not shown in some of those scans). Some also have a date. They will all be stamped on the back.
The numbers are not present on the actual pieces.
➽  Each piece will be £65 ($88) + shipping. Those of you with a discount code can apply it to that price now, or you can also choose to simply reserve one and then apply the 25% code you will all get when my sale goes live next week, up to you.
➽ Feel free to comment down below or message me personally, and keep an eye out on updates on this post to see if any have sold already. This is on a first come first serve basis!
➽ Once the pieces go up on my shop this week end, they will be available publicly.

So there we go, all the specs for those studies.

Again, I want to stress this heavily ; I DO NOT expect any of you to buy any of them! This is just a courtesy, part of the perks that go with being a patron of mine, you get first pick should you want any of them!

I might do small sticker sets of them in the future too, or maybe put up prints in the shop, I'm not sure yet. What do you all think?

Anywho, I hope you are all really well and had/are having a wonderful day, wherever you are!

Love you all,

Take care,

M

Thank you very much Lexie! They were both a challenge and tons of fun! 4, 5 and 6 were definitely the most hard work, haha

These are absolutely amazing especially 4, 5 and 6 I bet alot of hard work went into them I especially like how you managed to capture the glass A-MAZ-ING

Thanks Taylor! I'll see what I can do, haha

I'll try and get something together than, haha ;)

Haha, I'll look into it then! I might try and print them myself :)

Thank you Jean! I loved tnumber 1, it is the object that made me want to do a little series of studies. The texture was touch to replicate, but a great exercise.

Thank you Kristy! At the risk of loosing the fancy aura, this glass was a lot less tricky to paint than it looks, haha

THank you Arlee! 6 is among my favourites too, it was such a cute lantern!

Haha, I knew what you meant, lovely, thank you so much! You've been such a supportive friend since almost the very beginning, at least of my Youtube channel, thank you so much, your words mean a lot. <3

So beautiful! And I agree; stickers of these would be amazing!

I would love stickers with these too!

Christina Wenzel

These are truly masterful—it’s like you simply painted metal and glass onto the paper. I love the texture of #1, especially.

Stickers! Sticker sets! that would be amazing!

These are stunning! The way you have been able to capture the transparency of the glass takes my breath away!

These studies all turned out so beautifully :o And a real time video of 6?! That one is my favorite :D

(Not that they weren't good before, you know what I mean :P I am a bit clumsy in english)

They are absolutely fantastic!! At some point when I am a little more financially stable I'll definitely get some things at your shop again, your painting skills are getting better by the minute and you can honestly be really proud!
