Hey lovelies,
First off, I realized I had completely forgotten to officially announce the giveaway winners for this month's print and sticker draw! I'm so sorry!
The prizes have been processed and sent out but I forgot to tell the people concerned, hahaha! Forgive my sieve brain...
So, this month, the winners are :
- Sticker Tier : Laura Smith
- 5"x7" + sticker Tier : Once again, Arleesha! Since you are the only patron at that Tier for the moment, haha.
Thank you all for supporting me!

Next, a little note to let you all know that all physical rewards for this month have been sent out!
A little reminder ; All $20 patrons are getting an 8"x 11" print + a Baby Pink sticker in the mail. This month, as it is the first month of me doing this reward, you each got the print you voted for personally during my print poll. However, this will only be this one time, as it is not a sustainable system if the tier grows in numbers, so I'm afraid I won't be able to do this anymore. I just wanted to thank all my first print tier patrons with a little extra effort this first month!
Thank you all so much for your patronage, I hope you will love your prints and sticker <3

Something else I realized I sucked at, is giving you all a proper answer and summary at the end of my polls.
So here's the run down of the last few polls I put up :
- Inches or "A" sizes for prints :
I'll be honest, I feel I made a mistake with that poll. I really wanted to know what everyone preferred, but I didn't do my research properly before-hand, and therefore I feel like I might have mislead you all. From looking into things a little bit more deeply, I realized that the reason most prints are in inches, is because inches are used as standard sizes for framing. In Fine Art, inches seem to be the norm, even in countries that don't use them as widely in every day life.
Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that it is probably best if I keep my prints in inches, although I will obviously continue displaying the centimeter equivalence in my listings. This also stands for the Patreon rewards prints, that will continue being in inches.
Unless, this is a significant problem for you, in which case, do let me know and I'll make a note under your name to print your reward in A sizes.
I hope this is OK with everyone, I am sorry for being a big confusing about the whole thing. As always, do let me know what you think in the comments, your opinion is always valuable!
- Hand designs :
I am always absolutely swamped with work, a lot of it being admin and non-drawing work unfortunately (the fun perks of running your own business!), so I am sorry for not having gotten round to painting either my big piece for this month (next week's plan!) or the hands I submitted to you for vote a few weeks ago!
Plus I've been trying to get to grips with that new printer of mine, and that is taking quite a bit longer that I was hoping (although not much longer than I should have expected!).
However, I strongly intend on drawing and painting to be heavily back on the menu starting next week, and I hope to be able to fit in the hands this month.
The winners, that will therefore be painted first, were numbers 7 (ribbon hand), 8 (spider hand. Yes! You are people after my own heart!), and 1 (mushroom hand). Honestly, I love you all, you know me so well, these were my personal favourites!
I am also aiming to paint 2 (whole in the middle), 3 (eye, although I'll probably change the eye to the palm, as Jo proposed), and 5 (holding face/mask).
I can't wait to get started on that smaller painting series, thank you all so much for helping me choose!

And lastly, because you probably know by now that I love my long posts (sorry!), here's some fun not Patreon related news that might be interesting to you all!
- Skillshare Ambassador Program :
I have partnered up with Skillshare and become a Brand Ambassador for them.
That means that I now have a Coupon Code that gives you 2 months for $0.99 so you can check out their thousands of instructional videos, and each time you sign up, I get a small commission, so you support me in the process of learning tons yourself. :)
To activate the discount, you can follow this link : https://skl.sh/myriamtillson
Or you can use the code igamb536 at checkout!
I am myself planning on uploading some courses on there at some point, but I will make those available on here also.
If you aren't familiar with Skillshare, it's an online learning platform with thousands of videos on various creative topics, including drawing, painting, inking....and it also has some really useful business and management videos, which are great for those of us who are starting our own freelance businesses! It's really friendly and accessible, so I'd strongly recommend checking it out if you are thinking of expanding your skills and knowledge (and you can support me in the process too!).
- Nabi Art Collective :
I also wanted to let you know about this lovely new art collective I am a part of.
It is called Nabi (it believe it means butterfly in Korean), and was founded by my friend and artist Nadia Rausa[https://www.patreon.com/nadiarausa on here, go check her out, she’s awesome]
There are 20 of us in the official artists list at the moment, and we will be hosting monthly online shows and auctions, so if you would like to keep up to date with our projects and events, you can
follow our Instagram @nabiartistcollective
or follow our Tumblr blog https://nabiartistcollective.com/
and make sure to also follow our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Nabi-Artist-...
to participate in our auctions!
I’m personally really excited about this project, all the artists in the collective are really wonderful, and I think it will be a really lovely venture to embark one.
Come join the fun if it sounds like something you'd be interested in!
On this note, thank you for bearing with me for another behemoth of an update, I hope you don't mind it too much when I write this much!
Thank you all again and always for your support,
Take good care,
M
